Pedestrian hit and killed in Seward

SEWARD, Neb. (KOLN) - A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car Monday afternoon in Seward.

According to Seward Police Chief Brian Peters, 93-year-old Joyce Meyer was driving the car that hit 74-year-old Sophia Medrano at 6th and Seward Streets around 4:15 p.m. Chief Peters said Medrano was taken by ambulance to Seward Hospital and then life lighted to Bryan West where she died.

The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the deadly accident.
