LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Police arrested a 22-year-old after she was found driving a stolen vehicle and struggled with officers.

LPD said on Friday morning around 1 a.m., officers responded to a traffic accident near 38th and J streets.

Officers learned a Nissan Altima crashed into two parked cars, and that the Altima was stolen from 18th and O streets a short time earlier.

22-year-old Makayla Jackson was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons, then transported to jail at around 4 a.m.

LPD said Jackson was combative while being transported, and kicked at hospital staff and struggled with officers.

She was arrested for resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license, felony assault on an officer, and theft by unlawful taking.
