LPD: Woman found in home with stab wounds, man injured in basement
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Lincoln Police Department is working to learn more about an incident inside a home near central Lincoln where a woman was found stabbed.
On Wednesday, just before 7 p.m., LPD said someone called police reporting that a woman had been stabbed near 30th and E Streets.
LPD said responding officers got to the home and heard a woman screaming for help and they forced their way inside.
According to police, officers found a woman with multiple lacerations on her body and were notified there was another person in the basement.
Officers said in the basement, they found a man hanging from a rope.
LPD said officers performed life-saving measures until first responders with LFR arrived on scene.
The woman and the man were both taken to a local hospital and are in critical condition, according to police.
LPD said Crime Scene Technicians continue processing the scene for forensic evidence.
