The average high temperature is in the mid 30s with the average low in the mid teens this time of the year for most locations in the area. Lincoln and Sidney each set a new record high temperature Tuesday. Hastings and North Platte tied their record high temperature Tuesday. Smoke from the wildfires in the western part of the country made it to closer to the ground due to sinking air behind the front.
