Grace McDonald joined the 10/11 NOW news team as an intern in May 2022.
Grace is a senior at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, with two majors in journalism and multimedia. Within the UNK Department of Communication, she is the editor in chief for The Antelope newspaper, a Digital Expressions camp counselor and she reports for the Antelope News show. This spring, she received Eric Sevareid Awards of Merit in the Spot News and Multimedia Team categories, and she is also a Nebraska Broadcasters Association Foundation scholarship recipient.
Previously, Grace has worked for the Grand Island Independent and the Kearney Hub newspapers. She is also a Nebraska Press Association scholarship recipient for 2019 and 2021.
When she's not on the clock, this Rockville, Neb. resident enjoys spending time with her family of eight, watching movies, and playing sports with friends. Her passions include her faith, humor, art, writing, video and public speaking.
She appreciates the continued support from her community, family, mentors, UNK colleagues, and professors. Grace would like to thank the 10/11 staff for this opportunity and for welcoming her to the newsroom this summer.
