LINCOLN, Neb. – A 26-year-old Lincoln man is in jail and is being charged with sexually assaulting a child he met online.
Wednesday, Lancaster County Court records indicate Fischer made his first appearance in court. A judge set his bond at $250,000. He remains in the Lancaster County Jail.
According to a probable cause affidavit, a female younger than 14-years-old reported to her school counselor that she had a sexual encounter with an “older boy” she met online.
The victim said she met the man at a park and eventually went to his home. Court documents show sexual encounters took place in the suspect’s vehicle and at his home.
The suspect was later identified as Aaron Lee Fischer, 26, according to the probable cause affidavit.
A Snapchat video was also taken of the encounter, which took place on May 4, 2019.
The victim was interviewed by authorities and using the video, which was sent to the victim’s cell phone, timestamps, and other information, Fischer was positively identified as the suspect in question.
On Monday, Fischer was arrested and lodged for first-degree sexual assault of a child.
He's expected to be back in court June 12th, 2019.
