LINCOLN, Neb. — If you felt a little rumble late Friday night, it may be because an earthquake hit Nebraska.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported a magnitude 4.2 earthquake about 23 miles (37km) west of Broken Bow.
According to USGS, the earthquake happened at about 11:20 p.m.
Small shaking from the earthquake could be felt as far east as Grand Island and almost as far west as Ogallala, USGS data shows.
