On Sunday, an event in Downtown Lincoln showed off artwork made by local Girl Scouts and Artists, benefiting the Girl Scouts.

"ArtVenture" at the Embassy Suites brought in hundreds of people to eat, drink and bid on art.

The Chair of the Leadership Committee says, they raised $33,000 before the event and raised thousands more on Sunday.

"So whether it be programs, or it's just membership, the money is going to the girls to help so it's very important,” said Girl Scout, Alora Nowlin.

The Chair of the Leadership Committee says ArtVenture is the only fund raising event the Girl Scouts have.

Sunday was the 10 year anniversary of the event celebrating and supporting girls.
