BikeLNK has officially begun in Lincoln. There are 100 bikes in 19 kiosks scattered across the downtown area and the University's city and east campuses.

Friday afternoon more than 70 cyclists utilized BCycles to bike down N Street to the Railyard.

The party at the Railyard included food, booths and music.

BikeLNK had more than 400 bike rides in its two week soft opening.

With ride options starting at a $3 QuickTripper (a single 30-minute ride) to $80 for Aluminum Access (a year of unlimited 30-minute rides) there are many ways locals & visitors alike can take advantage of BikeLNK.

BikeLNK is a program of the City of Lincoln and was funded by a $600,000 federal grant -- a grant promoting environmentally-friendly communities.

Local sponsors Spreetail, Lincoln Community Foundation, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska provided matching funds to ensure the program’s successful delivery.
