LINCOLN, Neb. – Interstate 80 has reopened across Nebraska after a stretch of more than 300 miles was closed most of Saturday.
State officials closed I-80 from Grand Island west to the Wyoming border because of snow and ice coverage and low visibility as high winds blow heavy snow. A parallel section of U.S. Highway 30 was also closed, as well as several other roads in the region.
The Nebraska State Patrol and Nebraska 511 said I-80 reopened border to border Sunday morning.
Travel conditions in some areas are still expected to be slick and officials are still advising travelers use caution.
