Call for volunteers for sandbagging in Wood River

WOOD RIVER, Neb. (KSNB) Flood waters were threatening Wood River on Friday and Hall county officials were asking for volunteers to help with sandbagging.

Earlier in the day, Nebraska state officials said Highway 30 was closed between Kearney and Grand Island.

The Hall County Emergency Management office had asked that volunteers park in downtown Wood River and report to Nelson Winkle at Wood River city hall.
