Dollar Tree back open in northeast Lincoln after car crashed into the store

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN)- Dollar Tree in northeast Lincoln is back open on Monday after a car crashed into the store on Sunday afternoon.

It happened at the Dollar Tree store near 70th and Adams around 3 p.m. Sunday.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a car in the building with a driver possibly trapped inside.

Lincoln Police said the woman inside the car told officers she was trying to park and her foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas. That woman was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

LPD said the store was closed for a short time to ensure the building was structurally sound.
