Fire investigators are working to determine what caused a car fire in central Lincoln on Sunday night.

Crews were called to 30th and Q streets around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Officials said they found a van on fire between two houses.

Crews were able to quickly put out the flames, but not before it starting melting siding on two homes.

Total damage estimates have not yet been released.

Fire officials did say there was an extension cord seen running from one of the homes to the van.
