Cat dies in Lincoln duplex fire

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire in a duplex in northeast Lincoln.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue was dispatched to 51st and Adams after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Officials said the fire was contained to a kitchen.

One person inside the apartment was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Though a cat did die from the fire.

There is an estimated $30,000 in damage.
