Nate Hall spent 20 years in the advertising business and every day he would sit in front of a computer screen, dreaming of one day making a living in the great outdoors. Well, Nate's dream came true not long ago, with the support of his wife Maggie, "About a year ago, my wife and I were talking and we had quite a bit of this work to do and she said you know if this is what you really love this is what you should do."
Nate made the leap and he's never looked back. He says, "It's been outstanding. I absolutely love what I do. I get to get up everyday and play with a chainsaw."
Nate transforms dead tree stumps into beautiful lawn art, "It's just a great outlet and it's fun to be outside and meet people all the time and it's just great."
Nate is looking forward to competing against some fellow chainsaw artists for the first time this summer. Both of the competitions he'll take part in are located in Colorado and he can't wait to see how his carving stacks up against the competition.
