LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -- On Wednesday Chase announced a national expansion of branches -- including the opening of a Lincoln location near the University of Nebraska.
The new branch is set to open in late 2019.
The address of the Chase branch will be 148 N. 14th St., Lincoln, Nebraska, 31109.
“With a branch opening at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, we’re excited to launch our retail presence in this region and bring a broad range of financial services to consumers,” said Larry Guenther, Market Executive for the JPMorgan Chase’s Middle Market Bank in Omaha. “Although we’ve had Nebraska relationships through the commercial bank for more than a decade, our retail expansion will create jobs and opportunities to become deeply engaged in the community.”
Chase expects to open up to 90 new branches in new markets and hire up to 700 employees by the end of the year, giving more customers access to its retail and business banking services while offering local jobs to residents.
The bank announced last year that it planned to open 400 new branches and hire as many as 3,000 employees in new markets over the next five years.
Approximately 30 percent of branches will be in low-to-moderate income communities.
