City crews preparing for snow in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -- The city of Lincoln is preparing for forecasted snow on Thursday.

According to the City, 20 City crews began patrolling arterial streets at 4 AM on Thursday.

Crews will apply granular salt, pre-wet with brine as needed.

According to the 10/11 NOW Weather Team, areas of snow will continue Thursday with pockets of heavy snow Thursday into the afternoon.

Heaviest snow will be in southern Nebraska. Lincoln is still expecting 1 to 2 inches, with up to 4 inches in the Beatrice area.

Portions of South central Nebraska could see a total of 4 to 8 inches.
