LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - City crews continue to treat and plow roads across Lincoln as of Sunday.
The City of Lincoln's Transportation and Utilities Department reported that 20 crews are nearly finished with their first application of granular salt pre-wet with anti-ice brine to arterial streets.
Crews report street conditions ranging from slush-covered to snow-packed. Drivers should be alert for slick spots, especially in untreated areas.
More than 60 plow crews will begin clearing arterial, bus and school routes at 4 p.m. to minimize the overnight refreezing.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for southeast Nebraska until 6p.m. Monday evening. This area, however, does not include Lancaster County, or the I-80 corridor from Lincoln to Omaha.
