LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Police arrested a 21-year-old employee at Dr. Johns who reportedly aided a robbery of the store.

LPD said on January 11, Shantel Stickney, 21, reported she was working at Dr. Johns at 2410 NW 12th Street when a man wearing a mask entered the store and displayed a gun. Police said the man reportedly took an undisclosed about of money and left.

Stickney told police at the time the suspect stole the surveillance system, but investigators eventually located the system and found inaccuracies in Stickney’s report.

The surveillance footage shows a vehicle pull into the lot, flash their lights twice, and Stickney goes into a back room where the system was kept.

The system disconnected, and the suspect entered the building, police said.

Multiple Crimestoppers tips came in that the crime was an “inside job” police said, and investigators found out the vehicle used belonged to someone known to Stickney.

On March 10, Stickney was arrested for aiding and abetting a robbery. Additional arrests are expected.
