Driver, who fled from Bellevue Police, arrested in Iowa

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - A police chase that began in Bellevue came to an end in Council Bluffs early Tuesday morning with the arrest of the fleeing driver.

It began around 1:30 a.m. when officers tried to pull over a car and the driver sped away.

A chase followed. Authorities deployed Stop Sticks that took out two tires on the suspect’s vehicle but he drove the hobbled car over the Veterans Memorial Bridge into Iowa.

Council Bluffs Police made the arrest. They found the suspect near River Valley OHV Park where he surrendered.
