LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Police arrested an intoxicated man after he punched an officer in the mouth and bit an officer’s thigh while being detained.
LPD said on May 10 around 8 p.m., officers responded to reports of an intoxicated man causing a disturbance in the 1200 Block of S 22nd Street.
Police contacted Thomas Baker, 54, who was heavily intoxicated and needed to be transported to The Bridge, according to authorities.
As the officer tried to handcuff Baker, he punched the officer in the mouth, and during a struggle, he bit another officer’s thigh.
Baker was eventually taken into custody, where he was arrested for third-degree assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and obstructing a government operation.
