Fire investigators Wednesday were trying to determine what started a fire Tuesday evening in the Minden High School bus barn.
School officials are meeting with insurance representatives before deciding how to proceed. Minden Public Schools Superintendent James Widdifield says he is thankful nobody got hurt and firefighters got the fire out as quick as possible.
Firefighters were called to the barn at 5:17 PM Tuesday afternoon. Reportedly, a vehicle inside of the barn started the fire that was then fueled by containers of flammable substances.
A Minden school official said no buses were in the building at the time. Some students were at band practice in a nearby field, but nobody else was near the building at the time of the fire.
