Firearms stolen out of multiple unlocked vehicles

LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Police are investigating multiple reports of firearms being stolen out of unlocked vehicles in the same area.

LPD said on Dec. 2, a 21-year-old man said his 12-gauge shotgun and a camera were stolen from his unlocked truck.

The vehicle as parked outside his home in the Capitol Beach area, and the man told police he left the gun on the floor in the backseat of the pickup truck.

In addition, on Dec. 2, a 31-year-old man said his rifle was stolen from his unlocked pickup in the Capitol Beach area.

The vehicle was also parked outside his home in the Capitol Beach area, police said.
