Guns, drugs found during traffic stop

LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Police arrested a 31-year-old man after weapons and drugs were found during a traffic stop.

LPD said on Tuesday around 2 a.m. an officer stopped a Chevy pickup near 10th and E streets.

While the driver, Jeremiah Severn, 31, was reaching for his paperwork, the officer saw the handle of a knife concealed between the console and driver seat.

Severn showed the concealed knife to the officer and it had a 5-inch blade, and he admitted to having another knife in the vehicle, police said.

During a search, police also located pills, including Tramadol and Hydrochloride, a glass bong, a small amount of meth, a handgun, and a shotgun.

Severn was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and cited for carrying a concealed weapon.
