LINCOLN, Neb. Nearly 1,000 soon to be college graduates introduced themselves to local employers inside Pinnacle Bank Arena Wednesday. The job fair, hosted by the University of Nebraska introduced the students to 117 different companies or businesses.

"I think more than anything else we look to meet with everybody locally, so we can keep finding the talent we have right here on campus," said Zach Claussen, Sales manager at HUDL.

People hiring tell 10/11 making a great first impression and meeting face to face is key to landing a good job.

"This is an opportunity to hopefully see over 1,000 students," said Amy Bolton, talent manager at ReSource Pro.

Employers told 10/11 that they were looking for dozens of interns and full-time positions.

"We are right here in Nebraska, we want to make sure that people know that Lincoln is a place to stick around," said Claussen.

Companies said they want graduates from UNL to succeed and they want to help them do that.

"We've invested a lot in the community and we want to make sure we keep top talent here in the state," said Claussen.

The career fair continues Thursday, February 15th, for Science, Engineering, and Mathematics.
