LPD arrests man wanted in connection to February shooting

Lincoln Police arrested Leshawn C.W. Rogers on Wednesday morning.
Rogers was wanted for his involvement in a shooting on February 11, 2016 at 5441 Limestone Road.
Lincoln Police said he was taken into custody by the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force and members of LPD's Criminal Investigation Unit.
He was located at an apartment in the 900 block of Garfield. He was lodged at the Lancaster County Jail on an arrest warrant for two counts of 1st degree Assault.
LPD said two males, both in their 20s were shot at the location on Limestone Road.
One shooting victim was found inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.
Another victim had a single gunshot would and left the scene. He managed to flag down a Nebraska State Patrolman at Highway 77 and Old Cheney Road. Police say that individual was transported to the hospital and now has non life-threatening wounds. Sgt. Randy Clark with LPD says the victims are 25 and 26 years old, one from Omaha and the other from Lincoln.
