LINCOLN, Neb. — Lincoln police are warning people of a new scam making the rounds in Lincoln.

LPD tweeted Saturday that citizens have reported someone claiming to be an LPD investigator calling them and saying they know of a warrant for their arrest and needed cash to get it taken care of.

LPD said the department won't ever demand cash to clear up an arrest warrant.
