LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -- Under the new federal wellness regulations, school districts must work with the community to identify ways to implement the new wellness policies and monitor their effectiveness. Wellness includes mental and physical health, nutrition services, physical education and class activities.
Lincoln Public Schools is asking you to tell the district what they can do to keep their students healthy. On Monday, the district is holding its first community committee meeting, showing the public what LPS currently provides to its students, as well as to ask the public for feedback.
