LINCOLN, NE The Lancaster County Sherrif's Office said a 24-year-old-man was arrested for having a stolen vehicle and handgun while deputies were conducting surveillance on a fugitive.

LSO said it happened on February 12th around 11:20 p.m. when their Metro Fugitive Task Force spotted an unoccupied stolen vehicle.

Shortly after, LSO said they observed 24-year-old Seth Schwaninger get into the vehicle and take off.

Schwaniger then took off running, but Sherrif Terry Wagner said a U.S Marshall was able to tackle Schwaninger and take him into custody near 14th and F Street.

LSO said Schwaninger had a broken rib and punctured lung but was arrested before being taken to the hospital.
