Lincoln Police investigating early-morning shooting

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -- Lincoln Police are investigating after gunshots struck the outside of a home near 25th and Holdrege streets on Monday morning.

Lincoln Police said a house in central Lincoln was hit with gunshots early Monday morning.

Several callers reported hearing the gunshots, police said, and officers found shell casings in the area of the 1300 Block of Holdrege.

Police said a home, occupied by a 24-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man, and two children, was struck at least two times.

No injuries were reported, and the victims said they had recently moved in and were unaware of anyone who would try to target them.
