LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln man was transported to the hospital on Friday morning after being attacked by two dogs in the area of 5100 Emerald Drive. That area is northeast of 27th and Old Cheney Road.

LPD said a 60-year-old man was walking his dog, a Pomeranian/Poodle mix named Scooby Doo, near Colonial Heights Apartments and was attacked by other two dogs, a Pitbull/Boxer mix and a Bulldog/Labrador mix.

Witnesses told police they heard screaming and saw both the Pitbull/Boxer and Bulldog/Labrador attacking the Pomeranian/Poodle. The witnesses and the victim identified the Pitbull/Boxer as the dog who attacked him. The witnesses helped the owner of the Pitbull/Boxer pull the dog away from the victim because the owner could not control the dog as it continued to attack the victim.

LPD said the victim had four bloody circular wounds consistent with dog bites on his arm and his dog was shaking uncontrollably when officers arrived. They said it’s possible the owner of the two dogs could face charges and they will continue to investigate the incident.

The victim went to the hospital for treatment, and the victim’s dog was transported to an emergency veterinarian clinic for treatment.
