GRAND ISLAND, Neb (KSNB) -- A Grand Island man ended up going to jail after threatening police officers with a machete while they were arresting his wife.

Police were at a home on DeAnn Road Tuesday evening to arrest a woman wanted on three warrants.

The woman's husband, Raul Partida, attempted to get in the way while his wife was being placed in a police car. After being ordered back by police, he was eventually convinced by his mother to return to the porch of their home. That's where police say he picked up a machete and threatened officers from there.

After securing the woman, police returned to arrest Partida for Terroristic Threats, Using a Weapon to Commit a Felony for being a Felon in Possession of a Deadly Weapon.
