LINCOLN, Neb. – A 35-year-old man was arrested after officers found two concealed firearms, a machete, and suspected meth during a traffic stop.
LPD said on Dec. 4 around 2 a.m., an officer observed a white GMC pickup with fictitious plates traveling on Cornhusker Highway near N 44th Street.
The officer initiated a stop, and Brandon Yonker, 35, quickly exited his vehicle.
He was told by officers to get back in the truck, police said, and it was soon discovered Yonker had a suspended license and several prior convictions for driving during suspension.
Officers then found two concealed firearms behind his seat and a machete in the vehicle, police said.
Two small baggies of suspected methamphetamine and a syringe were also found.
Yonkers was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and cited for driving under suspension, fictitious plates, and carrying a concealed weapon.
