A man was arrested in Lincoln Friday night after a woman reported that he was watching her change through the blinds of her residence.
The incident took place in the 800 Block of S 18th Street around 11:30 p.m. on June 23, when the woman reported she felt like someone was watching her while she was changing.
When she looked out the window, she saw a man watching through the blinds.
The victim gave officers a description of the man, and authorities contacted the suspect a short time later, after he was spotted in the driver’s seat of a nearby vehicle.
Police approached the vehicle, but the man refused to roll down his window or open his door, and eventually he sped away.
Police initiated a traffic stop near 24th and Randolph streets, and John Opendi, 52, was taken into custody.
He was cited and lodged for unlawful intrusion and obstructing a peace officer, and was cited and released for DUI and not having an operating license.
