Man arrested for stealing from Leukemia Society donation board

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -- Lincoln Police said a 28 year old man arrested after he stole cash from a Leukemia Society donation board.

On Tuesday, the manager of Buzzard Billy's discovered someone went into the bar overnight Monday into Tuesday and $20 from the donation board as well as bottles of liquor.

After reviewing surveillance video, police identified the suspect as Andrew McClain.

McClain was taken into custody Tuesday night near 8th and P Streets. McClain had active warrants for urinating in public and failing to appear in court.

According to police, when McClain was arrested he had the stolen liquor and a tablet that was possibly stolen from another business.
