LINCOLN, Neb. – A 30-year-old Beatrice man was arrested Tuesday morning after he was found holding a rifle and a mask while sitting on the porch of his ex-wife.

Lincoln Police said the situation took place around 6:30 a.m. near 11th and Rose streets.

Police said Andrew Lichtenberg, 30, was dropped off at the residence by a 29-year-old woman, and after he got out, he retrieved a rifle from the trunk of the car.

He also put on a Halloween-style mask, police said.

Authorities said Lichtenberg’s ex-wife lived at the home, and after he approached the residence, he told her he had a gun and to come outside.

The woman dropping him off contacted authorities, and officers quickly arrived and observed Lichtenberg sitting on the front porch holding the rifle.

He did not comply with verbal commands, but was eventually taken into custody without injury.

Lichtenberg was arrested for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He was also cited for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, failure to comply, and child abuse.
