LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Police arrested a 44-year-old man after he was found hiding in a closet with meth in his pocket.
LPD said on Nov. 7, shortly before 2:30 a.m., officers responded to reports of a mental health crisis in the 2200 Block of Orchard.
Officers contacted the 62-year-old man, who agreed to be transported to the hospital for help, but told police there was another person in the home he was concerned would hurt his family.
The man’s wife said no one else should be in the home, according to police, but officers found Darrel Thompson, 44, hiding in a closet.
Thompson ignored officer’s commands and charged toward, and a struggle ensued.
Thompson was eventually taken into custody, and suspected methamphetamine was found in his pocket,
He had two arrest warrants, and was cited and lodged for possession of a controlled substance and a felony resist arrest.
