LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln Police said a 56-year-old man was pepper sprayed and arrested after throwing a picture frame at officers and arming himself with a golf club.
LPD said on Tuesday around 2:15 p.m., officers responded to reports of a disturbance at a duplex near 48th and South streets.
The tenant’s reported their neighbor, 56-year-old Thomas Pulec, was playing loud music and that he was possibly high on meth, police said.
LPD said the first time they contacted Pulec, he complied and turned down the music.
However, they were called back on reports of him breaking things after the neighbors asked him to move out.
Police said they tried to talk to Pulec through an open window, and he began throwing furniture at officers and hit an officer in the leg with a picture frame.
Pulec also grabbed a golf club and started breaking the window police said, before he was pepper sprayed and taken into custody.
He was arrested for 3rd-degree assault on a police officer, criminal mischief, and disturbing the peace.
