NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- Hundreds of people packed the streets of North Platte Saturday afternoon for the annual NEBRASKAland Days Parade.
The parade began at its usual spot, the corner of 4th St. and Bryan Ave, at 12 p.m and this year the parade is the official NE150 Grande Parade.
Several of the spectators came early to claim a spot along the parade route and to set up their tent. For some, coming to the parade is a family tradition.
"I am excited to be back here," Cecelia Fuller said. "The parade is always so much fun. I love coming with my family. Ever since we were very little we came."
Fuller said her family lives in Omaha now, so coming back to North Platte for the parade has allowed her to catch up with a lot of people.
Nicholas D'Agosto, an Omaha native and actor in NBC's new show Trial and Error, was in attendance as well. He helped KNOP-TV host their live broadcast.
