Jason Frew is the director of musicals at Aurora High School and he is anxiously awaiting the opportunity to showcase some of his fine young performers to the community, "One thing that they're going to be really impressed with is the overall talent here. From top to bottom, our leads, our supporting characters, our ensemble members are just a lot of fun."
Lexie Faber is making the most out of her final year at Aurora High School, "I'm super excited. I just love to put on a show and to dance and to sing so this is perfect for all of us, we're all big dancers and singers."
Jason adds, "This musical has some funny moments, it has some very serious and intense moments and across the board there is just an ownership from the kids that is really, really impressive."
There is an undeniable commitment to excellence at Aurora High School. From football to basketball from chorus to theatre, Huskie pride just might be at an all-time high right now. Lexie explains, "There is a lot of Huskie spirit, a lot of pride and I'm a cheerleader and a lot of us here are cheerleaders and we love supporting the Huskies, we love being there. And it's a really cool atmosphere, especially during home games, we have the student section going, we have the fans clapping, it's a cool place to be and it's a supportive town."
Footloose will hit the stage at Aurora High School with four different performances.The first show is on March 21st and there will be two shows on Saturday, March 23rd.
