People's City Mission in need of warm clothing

These cold temperatures are taking a toll on almost everyone in Lincoln...especially the homeless population. People's City Mission is helping people that are trying to escape the dangerous conditions.

More than 400 homeless people will pack inside the mission tonight. And Pastor Tom Barber urges the homeless community to sleep in the shelter tonight, "We're really encouraging people to come on in, we're taking everybody and anyone, we don't want anybody getting hurt out on the streets of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Pastor Tom adds that the mission is in dire need of cold weather clothing, "Right now, the big issue we have is our guests often need warm clothing and some of them have coats, but they're not that heavy or they don't have enough sweaters. We're in great need of anything warm."

Pastor Tom says if you have clothing or monetary donations you'd like to share it's as simple as dropping them by the shelter on west 'O' street or items can be donated at the Help Center (6800 P Street, behind Big Lots.)
