Peru State College without drinking water, urgent drive being held

An urgent bottled water drive is being held for students at Peru State College, as classes are expected to resume Wednesday, but the college is still without drinkable water.

The flood has rendered the drinking water on campus unusable for the 2,400 students.

The water drive will be held until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Catholic Social Services at 2241 O Street in Lincoln.

A trailer of water will be delivered to Peru State College on Wednesday.
