LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted for a sexual assault in 2014 after new forensic evidence has surfaced.

LPD said the incident took place on Dec. 27, 2014.

A 58-year-old woman reported she was sexually assaulted near 1400 P Street when she was grabbed by a man she was talking to at a bar earlier.

The man forced them inside her vehicle where the assault took place.

At the scene, Lincoln Police collected forensic evidence.

In December 2017, Denver Police collected evidence from a burglary that matched the suspect’s forensics.

LPD was made aware of the match, and now, with the new evidence and surveillance footage, are hoping the public can help identify the man.
