Portion of N Street to be temporarily reduced to one lane

By  |

LINCOLN, Neb. — N Street, between 16th and 17th streets, will be temporarily restricted to one lane Tuesday, December 4 through Friday, December 14 for street drainage work.

On-street parking will not be available on the south side of the street in that block. The “N” Street Cycle Track will be temporarily detoured into the adjacent traffic lane, and the south sidewalk will be closed periodically.

The work will enhance drainage of stormwater, snow melt and runoff from nearby properties into the City storm drainage system. The project will increase safety by reducing the chance of pooling water or ice on the street and sidewalk.

Public Works and Utilities appreciates the public’s patience and urges drivers and cyclists to exercise caution. For more information, contact Ben Higgins, Public Works and Utilities, at 402-441-7589 or bhiggins@lincoln.ne.gov. Current information on street closures is available at lincoln.ne.gov (keyword: closure), or through the Waze mobile app.
