Two juveniles arrested for incident that left a pregnant woman shot

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police said two juveniles were arrested for an incident on July 20 that left a pregnant woman with a gunshot wound.

LPD said on Friday, July 20, a pregnant woman walked into Bryan West just after 1 a.m. with a gunshot wound to her buttocks and reported the incident.

LPD said she and another male passenger were in their vehicle in the Belmont area attempting to sell marijuana when the robbery and shooting took place.

That male passenger also suffered minor injuries after being struck in the face with the gun.

Police said the baby was unharmed and the woman has non-life-threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, police said two juveniles, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, were arrested for the crime.

LPD said the 16-year-old was referred for conspiracy to commit robbery, and the 17-year-old was referred for criminal attempt of a Class 2 felony, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and second-degree assault of a pregnant woman.
