A burning RV on Interstate 80 near the 10th Street exit snarled traffic Friday afternoon.
Videos show the RV fire in the westbound lane caused heavy smoke in the area. Troopers closed the inside westbound lane of I-80 near 13th Street. Fire rigs blocked eastbound traffic, according to officials.
Thick black smoke was seen from some distance away. Council Bluffs Fire Department was requested to assist.
A gutted shell of the RV was left after the flames were extinguished.
The fire remains under investigation.
Drivers should avoid the area.
