LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A low pressure system will move through the area this weekend so there is a good chance for periods of rain. Isolated thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening along and south of Interstate 80. Rainfall amounts of a quarter to half an inch are possible across much of Nebraska. Any areas that experience thunderstorms could see half an inch to an inch of rain this weekend.
A cold front should move through the area late Sunday night into early Monday morning. There is a small chance of rain during this time period.
Tuesday looks to be mild, breezy and dry. Don't get used to the dry conditions though because more chances for showers and thunderstorms return Wednesday and Thursday. High temperatures those two days could be our warmest of the year so far.
SATURDAY: Cloudy with periods of rain likely. Isolated thunderstorms possible. Highs in the mid 40s to low 50s. East-southeast winds at 10 to 20 mph.
