Reports: Construction worker injured by steel beam at zoo

Emergency crews were called to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium where a construction worker was reportedly injured on Monday morning.

According to scanner traffic, a worker was injured by a 500 lb steel beam around 11:30 am on Monday. The worker was said to be bleeding from the neck. They were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Reports indicate the incident occurred in a location near the desert dome. First responders were directed to a large yellow crane by the dome.
