Saturday morning fire at Parkway Lanes

Lincoln Fire and Rescue was called to a fire at Parkway Lanes near S 48th and Van Dorn streets just before 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Battalion Chief Jim Bopp says at least one employee was there when they arrived but was not injured.

Battalion Chief Bopp says the crews arrived to find some light smoke inside the building and eventually found a small fire in a workshop area in the back of the building, which they put out quickly.

Nobody was injured.

The exact extent of the damage is not yet known but is believed to be more than $100,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
