Schneider tabbed for superintendent of Hastings Public Schools

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) The Hastings Public Schools Board of Education has selected Jeff Schneider to become their next Superintendent of Schools.

Schneider is scheduled to begins his new position on or around July 1. He will take over for Craig Kautz who is retiring after nearly 12 years as superintendent.

Other finalist for the position were Dr. Kerri Nelson fro Shenandoah, IA and Stephen Grizzle from Fairbury.

Schneider has been Director of Finance and Operations for Hastings Public Schools since July 2009. Prior to that, he was both an assistant principal and principal at Hastings Middle School. Before getting into educational administration, Jeff was a middle school math teacher and coach at Hastings Middle School.
